The European Conference on Knowledge Management (ECKM) is a highly respected academic conference that has been held annually for 26 years, making it one of the longest-standing conferences in its field. ECKM provides an important platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders from around the world to exchange ideas, present research, and discuss developments in knowledge management (KM). The conference is dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of knowledge management across a wide range of sectors and disciplines. The open access conference proceedings, published annually, provide valuable insights and are frequently cited by academics, policymakers, and industry professionals, underscoring the conference’s role in shaping the future of knowledge management.
Personal Message from the Conference Chair
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 26th European Conference on Knowledge Management (ECKM) to be held on 3-5 September 2025 at Lappeenranta – Lahti University of Technology (LUT), in Lahti, Finland. LUT University is known for excellence in executing research and teaching to provide answers to global challenges. Lahti, a city renowned for culture, nature and sports, is also Finland’s leading environmental city and one of Europe’s pioneers of sustainable development. The ECKM 2025 conference will bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest trends and developments in knowledge management and knowledge-based value creation, especially from the perspective of Addressing local and global challenges with knowledge management. We are planning to run our series of conferences as physical events with the option for participants to join virtually. We urge you to continue to submit your abstracts and papers in line with the published dates (extensions will be granted on request). For more details contact info@academic-conferences.org.
Conference Publications
Papers accepted for the ECKM after the double-blind peer review process, will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. The conference proceedings have an ISSN ( 2048-8963) and will be assigned an ISBN on publication. Proceedings are accessible here: https://papers.academic-conferences.org/index.php/eckm
The Editors of the Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management will make selections if they feel work is appropriate and of sufficient quality for the journal. If invited to publish in a journal authors will be expected to develop the work by 40-50%, including a change of title and abstract. Individual journal procedures will need to be followed and there is no guarantee of publication.

Following the ECKM conference, authors of selected high quality papers will be encouraged to submit their papers for the regular issue after thorough revision and improvement according to the requirements and guidelines of The Bottom Line. The papers will undergo the traditional double-anonymous peer review process.
The Bottom Line journal does not offer a fast track.
